The Opportunity:
We are looking for a motivated Apprentice GSE Technician to join our operational team. This hands-on role provides on-the-job training in a busy workshop environment, supporting experienced technicians while learning how to maintain and service ground support equipment (GSE). This is a safety-critical role requiring attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a passion for mechanics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with servicing and maintaining vehicles and machinery under supervision
• Learn to use workshop tools and machinery safely and effectively
• Complete job cards, inspection records, and service paperwork accurately
• Keep work bays and surrounding areas clean, safe, and organised
• Report defective tools or equipment to the Workshop Supervisor
• Request parts using SAP and assist with basic workshop admin tasks
• Ensure all tasks are checked and approved by a qualified technician
• Progress to more complex tasks as training develops through apprenticeship
What We Are Looking For:
• A strong interest in motor mechanics and practical engineering
• Basic understanding of MS Outlook and ability to use tablets/iPads
• Willingness to learn in a supervised, safety-first environment
• Literate, numerate, and able to follow instructions accurately
• Drivers licence would be advantageous
• Please note: This role requires supervision at all times—independent working is not permitted during training
Knowledge and Skills:
