In 2021, TCMM Shutter Group was acquired by Mzuri Group, a pioneering force in the window coverings market. More recently, the business has taken on a number of well-known blinds businesses, Swift & MMB from within the group and spearheads the partnerships with John Lewis and B&Q.

Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Digital Solutions to head up our IT team in Brighton. Responsible for the day-to-day management of our IT operations and leading the delivery of our development and maintenance agenda.

As our organisation grows, we need to design and build a team of professionals to support our expanding requirements. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of our internal systems, websites, portals, and digital tools across our portfolio of brands. You will manage external digital agencies and internal parties, coordinate development projects, and ensure our technology stack supports business growth and innovation.

In the coming years, we expect a large-scale transformation project to be undertaken, and this role will be key in supporting this agenda.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy: Development of the annual plan and project roadmap to deliver business objectives. Support in the development and implementation of a longer-term technology transformation vision and plan.
  • IT Operations: Oversee the company’s IT operations, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and efficient. With a focus on automation to reduce future overhead. Manage hardware, software, networks, and user support across departments. Lead IT procurement and vendor management alongside the central group resource.
  • Web Operations: Act as the primary liaison between the company and external digital agencies. Manage the development, maintenance, and performance of all brand websites and customer portals. Ensure digital platforms are optimized for UX, SEO, and conversion.
  • Magento Development: Manage relationships with agencies and Magento developers to deliver against key requirements for bug fixes, development of new features, and optimisation.
  • Project & Agency Management: Coordinate digital projects, including website builds, platform integrations, and system upgrades. Define project scopes, timelines, and budgets; ensure delivery meets business objectives. Evaluate and onboard new digital partners and technologies.
  • Data & Systems Integration: Ensure seamless integration between websites, CRM, and other business systems incl. EDI and increasingly API integration. Support data governance, reporting, and analytics initiatives.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance: Maintain cybersecurity protocols and ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations, act as the GDPR Officer. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments, translating technical risk into business risk.
  • Planning & Reporting: Ongoing project management and prioritisation. Reporting and communication to key stakeholders.
  • Leadership & Influence: Build a team to support the growing requirements including training, mentoring, performance management and recruitment. As a member of SLT, you’ll influence company wide strategy and contribute to board lead discussions.
  • Budget Management: Day-to-day and annual management of the assigned operational and Capex budget, demonstrating understanding of P&L, cost structures, and ROI.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in digital solutions, IT management, or digital project leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, business, IT, or a related field.
  • A career that demonstrates evidence of cost management, system integrations, migrations and eCommerce platform implementation.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies, CMS platforms, CRM systems and cloud services, particularly in the context of E-commerce
  • Experience managing external agencies and cross-functional teams.
  • Solid grasp of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and systems integration.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and digital transformation strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing strategies, platforms and tools.
  • Proficiency in web analytics, SEO, and CRM software.
  • Data & AI awareness. Understands data architecture & machine learning enough to set direction.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and other relevant regulations
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Team and people management, with experience in change management and stakeholder buy-in.
  • Commercial acumen and budgeting experience
  • Familiarity with Umbraco, Magento, Workbooks, WordPress, Kentico, GA4, Algolia
  • Participation in digital transformation projects
  • Experience in leadership roles in from-scratch web build, as well as site migrations & integrations.
