With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued growth within the mission-critical sector, we are looking to appoint an experienced MEP Quality Assurance Manager to lead the implementation of our quality assurance strategy on a flagship Data Centre project in East London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business and play a key role in driving quality standards across TClarke's largest project to date, ensuring best-in-class quality processes are embedded from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover while working closely with operational teams, clients and senior leadership.
As MEP Quality Assurance Manager, you will lead the implementation of TClarke's ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System across a major Data Centre development, ensuring consistent delivery of quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with the Group QA Manager, Project Director and Operations Director, you will oversee all on-site quality assurance activities, manage a team of QA Coordinators and drive quality compliance across project teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring robust inspection, testing, commissioning and handover processes are delivered to the highest standards on one of London's most technically complex construction projects.
- Lead all quality assurance activities across a major Data Centre project.
- Implement and manage TClarke's ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and Project Quality Plan.
- Manage and support a team of QA Coordinators, providing leadership, guidance and technical expertise.
- Work closely with the Group QA Manager to embed company quality processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure all client quality requirements are incorporated into project delivery and maintained throughout construction.
- Oversee inspections, quality audits, snagging activities, NCR management and corrective actions.
- Manage digital quality systems, inspection records, QA documentation and progressive handover processes.
- Coordinate QA activities with project delivery, engineering, commissioning and planning teams to ensure programme milestones are achieved.
- Lead quality walks, interface inspections and verification of installations across all MEP disciplines.
- Ensure quality documentation, inspection records and test packs are completed in preparation for commissioning and project handover.
- Produce regular QA reports highlighting project performance, risks, defects and improvement actions.
- Drive a proactive quality culture through collaboration, coaching and leadership across the wider project team.
Proven experience as an MEP Quality Assurance Manager, QA Lead, Commissioning Manager or Senior Building Services Engineer within the construction or MEP sector. Previous experience working on large-scale Data Centre projects is highly desirable. Strong understanding of MEP installation, commissioning, inspection and quality assurance processes. Experience working within ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and structured QA environments. Strong client-facing experience with the ability to build trusted relationships across all project stakeholders. Experience managing QA documentation, inspection records, snagging systems and project handover processes. HNC, HND or Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline is advantageous. Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills. Proactive, organised and driven, with a passion for delivering exceptional quality on technically complex projects.
