With over 135 years of engineering excellence and a strong pipeline of secured work, we are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join our established Pre-Construction team in Central London. This is an opportunity to play a key role in securing high-profile projects, working alongside experienced design, commercial and operational teams from bid stage through to project delivery.
The Role
- Lead electrical estimating activities across major tenders and negotiated opportunities.
- Produce detailed and competitive cost plans for electrical building services packages, including power, lighting, containment, fire alarms, security systems and specialist electrical installations.
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation to identify commercial opportunities and technical risks.
- Manage supplier and subcontractor enquiries, analysing quotations and benchmarking market rates.
- Work closely with pre-construction managers, design teams and operational teams throughout the bid process.
- Contribute to value engineering initiatives, tender strategy and client presentations.
- Support and mentor junior estimators within the team.
- Maintain awareness of market conditions, labour trends and material pricing.
About You
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator or Senior Electrical Estimator within the building services or MEP sector.
- Strong technical understanding of electrical building services systems and installation methodologies.
- Experience pricing major commercial, healthcare, residential, data centre or other technically complex projects.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders while maintaining a high level of commercial accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience using industry-standard estimating software and Microsoft Office packages.
