We’re looking for a creative, dedicated, and enthusiastic Construction Multi Skills Vocational Trainer to join our vibrant team in Medway. This role is suitable for anyone with a multi-trade background in plastering, joinery, painting and decorating, and/or bricklaying, or a general all-rounder with prior experience in teaching a multi-skills course. Qualifications- Industry recognised qualification in Construction, Multi Skills
- Post 16 teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve within an agreed timeframe)
- English and Maths qualifications at Level 2 or above (or willingness to gain them)
- Proven track record of professional or vocational expertise in the Construction sector
- Experience in FE teaching, training is desirable
- Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills
The successful candidate will be responsible for curriculum planning, training and assessment for learners on our level 1 multi-skills course. You should be confident in delivering to a diverse range of learners and ready to inspire them to achieve their full potential.
- Deliver engaging, practical multi-skills construction sessions to small groups of learners
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons to meet individual needs and learning objectives
- Create and manage tailored learning plans that support learners’ progression and long-term aspirations
- Provide pastoral support, advice, and guidance to learners throughout their programme
- Use a variety of teaching and training methods to engage individuals with different learning styles
- Ensure all learning delivery meets quality standards and compliance requirements
- Monitor and record learner progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance
- Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment in line with safeguarding and equality standards
- Achieve quality targets, including those related to learner achievement, inclusion, progression and destination
- Conduct risk assessments of all activities, prioritising safety
