EVENTS MANAGER
THIS IS FOR MATERNITY COVER; HOWEVER, THIS COULD LEAD TO A FULL-TIME POSITION.

A position has opened up in our events department, heading up the events team to cover maternity leave. This role offers a high level of responsibility, working closely with senior leadership while taking the lead on day-to-day event delivery.

We are a small business creating educational events with well-known authors and public speakers in the UK, US, Canada and other global locations, as well as marketing products connected to spiritual development. Responsibilities
You will be working with a small team, managing and executing the following:
· Planning and execution of events, including budgets, venue sourcing, and all pre- and post-event activities
· Building detailed tour and event schedules across multiple international locations
· Production management for conferences, stand-alone theatre-style events, and one-off shows internationally
· Developing event strategy for global programmes
· Managing event logistics for conference-style events for staff and speakers alongside other team members
· Coordinating with venues, hotels, and suppliers across the US and Europe
· Supporting contract discussions and logistics planning
· Managing catering coordination where required
· Managing live streaming in collaboration with the digital team and coordinating with production teams and contractors
· Managing bookings and itineraries for speakers and staff
· Managing stock and products to be sold at events, including logistics
· Managing staff and event personnel, including freelancers and a small volunteer team
· Supporting PR, promotion, and marketing for events
· Ensuring the online platform and event-related website content are maintained, current, and aligned with event specifics
· Providing general operational support, including coordinating contracting processes and assisting with accounts-related tasks
· General assistance in running and promoting events, including attending events in other countries
· Other related event tasks as required
Requirements
· Experience in the events industry, with specific experience in conference event production
· Team player
· Strong organisational and logistical skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong understanding of AV systems and technical event production
· Problem-solving mindset, practical thinking, and a proactive, can-do attitude
· Ability to work independently and use initiative
· Excellent reading and writing skills (proofreading in English may be required)
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
· Experience with project management tools (e.g. Asana or similar)
· Full driving licence
· Willingness to travel internationally
Desirables
· French language skills
· Experience using WordPress
Working Hours
Working hours are usually 9am to 5pm remotely, with additional work at events during weekends where required. You may be asked to work from the office in a hybrid setting. You will also be required to travel to the USA, Canada, Europe, and other countries to manage and execute events.
What to Expect
· Direct interaction with customers, venues, and potentially well-known speakers
· Some local travel during the day may be necessary
· International travel for events will be essential
· A full-time role working five days per week, Monday to Friday, with additional on-site work during event delivery
Salary & dates
