Our client is a fast-growing B2B SaaS platform transforming how construction companies manage subcontractor payment claims and commercial accounts. Built by construction professionals for construction teams, the platform replaces a fragmented mix of spreadsheets, email chains and disconnected systems with a single cloud-based environment. The business is already trusted by major construction and property clients, with 600+ weekly active users across Ireland, the UK, Sweden, Portugal and Germany. It is ISO 27001 certified and backed by a leading enterprise development agency. The company was founded by experienced professionals with deep construction, commercial and technology backgrounds.

The Opportunity

Our client’s existing Customer Success team is strong, but it currently lacks deep construction commercial knowledge. Complex commercial queries from clients are currently escalated internally, creating a bottleneck. This hire will change that.

As QS / Customer Success Specialist, you will be the person our client’s customers turn to for commercial expertise, ensuring they get maximum value from the platform. You will bring deep construction knowledge and apply it in a completely new context: a growing, multi-country SaaS business at an exciting stage of scale. This is not a traditional QS role. It sits at the intersection of construction expertise, client relationship management and product development. You will work directly with the founding team and have a genuine opportunity to influence both the product roadmap and the direction of the business.

This role will be remote, but candidates must be based in or around London, as regular client meetings and site visits will be required across London and the wider UK area. The ideal profile is a QS or commercially minded construction professional who is ready to move into a SaaS/start-up environment while still leveraging their construction and commercial expertise. If you have been thinking about making that move, this role was designed for you.

Job Specification

  • Customer Onboarding & Success
    • Lead the onboarding experience for new clients, from platform setup and data migration through to full workflow integration.
    • Build trusted, long-term relationships with key contacts at customer accounts, including Commercial Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Directors.
    • Conduct regular account reviews, monitor platform adoption and proactively address any accounts showing low engagement or churn risk.
    • Handle commercial construction queries independently, removing the escalation bottleneck and giving clients a credible, knowledgeable first point of contact.
  • Product Feedback & Development
    • Act as the voice of the customer internally, capturing structured feedback and translating it into clear, prioritised product requirements for the development team.
    • Use your own industry knowledge to challenge and improve workflows, ensuring the platform reflects how commercial teams actually operate on site and in the office.
    • Contribute to product documentation, training materials and help content written in the language of construction professionals.
  • Sales Support & Growth
    • Support the UK sales process by conducting product demonstrations with genuine commercial construction credibility and handling technical commercial objections.
    • Identify upsell and expansion opportunities within the existing customer base.
    • Track customer health metrics, including adoption rates, feature usage, renewal risk and expansion revenue.
    • Represent the business at industry events, trade shows and client site visits across the UK and Ireland.

Person Specification

  • Essential
    • 4+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager in UK commercial construction. Main contractor, specialist subcontractor or consultancy backgrounds are all welcome.
    • Strong working knowledge of UK commercial construction contracts and processes, including NEC/JCT, payment applications, variation management, retentions and final accounts.
    • UK market experience specifically. Candidates from the Irish market will only be considered if they have directly operated in the UK construction sector.
    • Confident, credible and client-facing communicator, able to build trust quickly with senior commercial professionals.
    • Genuine curiosity about technology and the potential for SaaS to modernise the construction industry. This must be authentic.
    • Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity, with the ability to manage priorities in a start-up environment without heavy oversight.
  • Desirable
    • Experience using construction management or SaaS platforms such as Procore, COINS, Causeway, Viewpoint or similar, from a user perspective.
    • MRICS, MCIOB or equivalent professional qualification.
    • Prior experience in a customer-facing role such as account management, solutions consulting or customer success.
    • Background in team sports, which would align well with the client’s team culture and collaborative working style.
