This role is responsible for delivering compliant, fit-for-purpose and cost-efficient packaging solutions. The main focus is packaging compliance across worldwide markets: monitoring current legal requirements, translating them into clear pack rules for the Creative Packaging team, and ensuring artwork, structure and specifications stay accurate and up to date. The role must also anticipate regulatory changes, flag risks early, and coordinate corrective actions with Sourcing, Quality, Suppliers and Creative before they affect timelines or launches.
Alongside compliance, the role supports pack structure, dieline development, palletization, print control, mock-ups, print proofs and packaging cost guidance to deliver technically sound packaging across the business. This is a technical packaging role requiring strong compliance awareness, structural understanding, print knowledge and practical collaboration across development, sourcing, quality and creative functions.
Daily responsibilities will include the following:
- Monitor worldwide packaging regulations and keep internal guidance, briefs and mandatory pack information up to date.
- Proactively anticipate legal changes, assess risks and flag actions early to protect launches.
- Define or review pack structures, technical specifications, materials and workable dielines.
- Support artwork briefs and validate legal copy, symbols, carton markings and pack requirements.
- Review and approve print proofs, colour references, finishes, substrate specs and final print files.
- Generate and optimize pallet plans, master carton standards and transport efficiency.
- Provide packaging pricing guidance, supplier advice and value-engineering recommendations.
- Manage pack mock-ups, white samples and external print proofs with partners.
- Liaise with factories, laboratories, logistics and quality teams to ensure compliance and pack integrity.

- Experience with palletization, carton optimization and transport durability;
- Solid understanding of sustainable packaging principles and packaging optimization strategies;
- Ability to review cutters, structural files and dielines and translate them into workable files for creative teams;
- Confident handling print proofs, artwork checks and supplier technical discussions;
- Good commercial awareness of packaging pricing, specifications and cost drivers;
- Clear communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally under pressure;
- Highly organised, proactive and able to anticipate risks before they become issues;
- Precise, hands-on and solution-oriented, with strong attention to detail and the ability to balance compliance, speed and design quality.
