Title: Grant and Coffee Coordinator
Classification: Full-time, non-exempt
Office Location: TCAT McMinnville, 241 Vo Tech Dr., McMinnville, TN 37110
Hours: Monday – Friday 8 . until 4:30 .
Salary Range: $51,251-$66,632; this position is benefit eligible
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a bachelors degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
- Must have excellent writing skills.
- Ability to exercise good judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions.
- Capability of accurately completing grant reporting requirements.
- Ability to help support IT needs and serve as the administrator in charge when needed.
- Capacity to maintain positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Higher education competitive grant writing experience.
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Expertise in grant research and funding needs.
General Duties:
The Grant and Coffee County Coordinator is responsible for understanding the organizational needs and searching for ways to support them through grant funding and institutional service. The individual is in charge of writing and reporting on the institution’s grants along with helping maintain records and reporting for other institutional areas as required. This individual will maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The Coordinator will also serve as administrator when needed and help support IT needs of the campus. This position will include some travel, both around the service area for support throughout the community and beyond the service area for conferences.
Key Responsibilities – Essential Job Functions
The Grant and Coffee County Coordinator is responsible to perform the following:
- Study and understand the history, structure, objectives, programs, and financial needs of the organization to effectively search for appropriate funding sources and complete reporting needs;
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables;
- Coordinate and track progress against project plans, adjusting as needed to ensure successful completion;
- Manage projects in various areas by planning, implementing, establishing KPIs, and follow-up;
- Conduct research based on certain specific inquiries and prepare written reports on the same;
- Develop unique ideas to sharpen work and create tools to make the work quicker, more accurate, and point;
- Support the institution with special projects as needed;
- Research grant opportunities from government and non-government agencies as requested;
- Draft effective grant proposals, reports, and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of the organization;
- Submit proposals for approval;
- Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted proposals;
- Assist in the maintenance of required program records;
- Maintain records and submit reports related to grant opportunities;
- Ensure that grant funds are utilized as planned;
- Foster partnerships with secondary schools, service agencies and other organizations;
- Support the institution’s accreditation efforts as requested;
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all assigned projects;
- Serve as an administrator for the Coffee County Campus;
- Support the IT needs of the Coffee County Campus when needed;
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to scope project requirements and objectives; and
- Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions (ADA REQUIREMENTS)
Walking, climbing, bending and stooping. Work performed in office, testing center and classroom environments. Position requires the use of a computer.
Sedentary Work – Walking or standing to a significant degree; sitting for brief periods of time; be able to bend and stoop; use body members (arms, hands, fingers), and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
SALARY:Commensurate with experience, education and training according to Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines.
