We are looking to strengthen our team with the appointment of an experienced and commercially focused Business Development Manager based in our Glasgow office. The role provides an exciting opportunity for an individual looking for the next step in their career. Working closely with our partners, the successful candidate will help strengthen client relationships and support strategic growth initiatives within the social housing/RSL sector. The successful candidate will lead on tenders, business development activity, and client engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing the firm’s profile through business development initiatives
  • Managing the firm's tender process from identification through to submission, liaising with internal parties to coordinate contributions and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Supporting the lead Partner in preparation of Chambers and Legal 500 submissions.
  • Coordinating in-house events and firm conferences.
  • Working alongside the Head of Marketing to support social media activity and RSL communications.
  • Monitoring and improving the firm’s RSL webpages and online profiles, including staff profile pages.
  • Managing and maintaining the firm’s CRM database, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
  • Producing regular reports.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in a business development, marketing, or bids/tenders role, ideally within a professional services or legal environment.
  • Experience coordinating tenders, submissions, events, or client communications.
  • Confidence in building relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and commercially focused approach.
  • Excellent written communication and proofreading skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
