Steyning – Finance – Full time – Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Payroll Team in providing an efficient and comprehensive payroll service to clients.
- Day‑to‑day administration of client payrolls to include RTI submissions and end‑of‑year reporting.
- Processing starters, leavers, SMP, SPP, SSP etc.
- Uploading pension contributions.
- Assisting with reviewing and checking of payrolls.
- Assisting Payroll Manager with the set‑up of pension schemes and any new payrolls.
- Dealing with payroll queries.
- Meeting strict deadlines and processing all work with a high degree of accuracy.
About You
- Experience with IRIS Payroll Professional preferred.
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Awareness of confidentiality and need for discretion.
- Comprehensive understanding of pensions and automatic enrolment.
- Ability to manually calculate payroll results and explain calculations/breakdown to clients.
- Confident in talking to people to build client relationships.
- Thorough knowledge of payroll related legislation such as PAYE, NI, family leave etc.
