About The Executive Accountant Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Accountant to join the service charge team in our Southampton office. Our award‑winning service charge team is one of the UK’s largest residential service charge accounting firms and our company values and strong collaborative culture is at the forefront of everything we do.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertaking the execution of ISA800 audit assignments and Factual Findings Reports for our client’s service charge accounts in accordance with best practice.
- Reviewing the work performed by more junior members of the team, and dealing with queries and client questions.
- Aiding in the overall delivery of exceptional client service to our market leading clients.
The ideal candidate will have an exploratory approach to working in order to identify and solve problems efficiently. The role will require skills to work on large numbers of accounts, following our methodology and flagging any issues to the client and the manager. A key focus on working in an efficient and quality environment is a must.
About You
- A background and exposure to accounting and/or double entry bookkeeping.
- Ideally have experience of working within an accountancy practice.
- Ability and confidence to deal with multiple sets of accounts, with a high level of attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills – written and verbal.
- Be able to confidently work alone but also be a team player.
- Organised and methodical approach to handling workload of both self and others.
- Be proficient in main line MS Office products, with in-depth experience and knowledge of Excel.
- Knowledge of service charge accounting would be an advantage.
