About The Audit Semi-Senior Role

As an Audit Semi-Senior, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services to a diverse client base. You will assist in planning and executing audits, prepare working papers, and ensure compliance with UK auditing standards and regulations. This role involves liaising with clients to gather information, identifying risks, and providing clear recommendations to improve financial controls. You’ll also support junior team members and contribute to the smooth completion of audit engagements.
Key Responsibilities Of An Audit Semi-Senior Will Include:
- Conducting substantive testing, analytical procedures, and preparing audit working papers for review.
- Assisting in audit planning, preparing draft accounts, and identifying risks or issues.
- Mentoring, coaching, and reviewing the work of junior team members.
- Liaising directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries.
- Ensure compliance with auditing standards, UK GAAP (FRS 102) and firm procedures.
About You
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- 2+ years accounting experience in an accountancy practice hardworking and good attention to detail.
- AAT qualified
- Good working knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102) and standard audit methodology
- Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with clients
