Hours: 36 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 9:00‑5:15 (1‑hour unpaid lunch), Friday 9:00‑5:00 (1‑hour unpaid lunch)
Holiday: 20 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays), increasing by one day per year of service up to a maximum of 5 days, plus birthday day off

About the Trainee Tax Advisor Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Tax Advisor in our tax team in the Leeds office. This apprenticeship scheme offers a pathway to a prestigious tax qualification (ATT Level 4) and valuable on‑the‑job experience.

After achieving your ATT qualification you will continue building your career at TC Group and take on greater responsibility. Candidates who show strong aptitude for tax and accounting and the highest level of academic ability will have the opportunity to work toward a Chartered Tax Advisor qualification.

You will join a dynamic tax team with a high‑quality client base, gaining responsibility while helping the management team with office running and completing your tax qualification with us. You will learn about the preparation of corporate tax returns, interpreting financial statements, and advising clients on complex tax matters. Equally importantly, you will learn how to work effectively in a team, build strong and lasting professional relationships, and deliver exceptional client service. This is a diverse role; you need to be prepared to roll up your sleeves and have a willingness to learn.

About You

• Strong GCSE results in Maths and English, grade 4 or above
• A‑levels (C and above) or equivalent
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel
• Strong attention to detail
• Self‑motivated and willing to succeed
• Highly personable with excellent communication skills
• Organised and efficient, with attention to detail
• Demonstrable drive and initiative
• Current right to work in the UK
