Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week with flexi hours & hybrid working
Holiday: 25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays). Additional days increase by one for each completed year of service to a maximum of 5, plus a birthday day off and public holidays in England and Wales. Key Responsibilities
- Lead or manage the audit process from planning through to completion.
- Review the work of more junior colleagues to deliver high‑quality audits.
- Prepare realistic budgets and manage client expectations.
- Develop and mentor trainees, providing thoughtful feedback and coaching.
- Build strong client relationships and act as the primary contact.
- Communicate regularly with partners and internal teams on job progress.
- Identify and deliver added‑value services to help clients prosper.
- Serve as a role model and mentor to trainees and seniors within the team.
About You
- Previous experience working in audit for a UK accountancy practice – essential.
- Experience auditing SME clients.
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Good technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS102, IFRS and ISA.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Tech‑savvy and proficient in Microsoft packages; knowledge of CCH is a plus.
- Pro‑active approach to tasks, motivated by a fast‑paced environment.
- Own car and full driving licence.
