TC Smith & Goulding are looking to expand and strengthen our team with the addition of another Personal Tax Manager, either on a full time or part time basis. The role will provide the opportunity to widen your experience and progress further in the firm.
Key Responsibilities Of a Personal Tax Manager Will Include:- Managing a portfolio of personal tax returns comprising company directors, property owners, high net worth individuals, sole traders and partnerships.
- Being first point of contact for our clients and assisting the directors with ad hoc queries.
- Assisting with advice in relation to Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax and potentially a portfolio of Trusts.
- Other specific areas of knowledge which would be useful are national insurance, overseas matters and farmer's averaging.
- Involved in the training of students and providing ad hoc tax advice for the accounts team.
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Ideally you will have formal qualifications such as ACA, ACCA or CTA. We are happy to consider candidates who are qualified by experience.
- Possesses excellent analytical and review skills.
- Is eager to progress and develop, with the willingness to adapt.
- Demonstrates a high level of honesty and integrity.
- Has the ability and desire to coach and develop junior members of staff.
- A self-starter with the motivation to see projects through to completion.
- An effective communicator and listener who would collaborate well with the rest of our team.
- Wants to make a positive impact on our firm and be part of our journey into the future.
