This role is for a Payroll Client Manager in our Steyning office, supporting the Payroll Team in providing an efficient and comprehensive payroll service to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Payroll Team in providing an efficient and comprehensive payroll service to clients
  • Day‑to‑day administration of client payrolls to include RTI submissions and end‑of‑year reporting
  • Process starters, leavers, SMP, SPP, SSP etc.
  • Upload pension contributions
  • Assist with reviewing and checking payrolls
  • Assist the Payroll Manager with the set‑up of pension schemes and any new payrolls
  • Deal with payroll queries
  • Meet strict deadlines and process all work with a high degree of accuracy

About You

  • Experience with IRIS Payroll Professional preferred
  • Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Awareness of confidentiality and need for discretion
  • Comprehensive understanding of pensions and automatic enrolment
  • Ability to manually calculate payroll results and explain calculations/breakdown to clients
  • Confident in talking to people to build client relationships
  • Thorough knowledge of payroll‑related legislation such as PAYE, NI, family leave etc.
