This role is for a Payroll Client Manager in our Steyning office, supporting the Payroll Team in providing an efficient and comprehensive payroll service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Payroll Team in providing an efficient and comprehensive payroll service to clients
- Day‑to‑day administration of client payrolls to include RTI submissions and end‑of‑year reporting
- Process starters, leavers, SMP, SPP, SSP etc.
- Upload pension contributions
- Assist with reviewing and checking payrolls
- Assist the Payroll Manager with the set‑up of pension schemes and any new payrolls
- Deal with payroll queries
- Meet strict deadlines and process all work with a high degree of accuracy
About You
- Experience with IRIS Payroll Professional preferred
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Awareness of confidentiality and need for discretion
- Comprehensive understanding of pensions and automatic enrolment
- Ability to manually calculate payroll results and explain calculations/breakdown to clients
- Confident in talking to people to build client relationships
- Thorough knowledge of payroll‑related legislation such as PAYE, NI, family leave etc.
