Salary: Competitive dependant on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
Holiday: 23 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per each year of service (up to a maximum of 5 days).
About the Junior Accountant role:
We are TC Group, the fastest-growing top 20 accountancy firm in the UK. We’re business advisors and accountants, with over 30 years of experience we’ve honed our skills and developed our service offering to deliver a much wider range of bespoke support and advice to ambitious business owners and their businesses. We are looking for a Junior Accountant in our Peterborough office, with a September 2026 start.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing year end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, sole-traders and LLPs
- Preparing management accounts
- Corporate tax returns
- Personal tax returns
- VAT returns
- Bookkeeping for clients
- Delivering excellent client service
- Working closely with clients, other members of the accounts team and other departments, including direct contact with the Partners, managers and clients in order to obtain the required information to prepare their accounts
- Involvement in audit work as and when required
About you:
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Minimum of Grade 4 (or equivalent) in Maths and English at GCSE
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel
- Self-motivated
- Organised, efficient with attention to detail
- Able to demonstrate drive and initiative
- Able to reliably commute to the Peterborough office
- Comfortable in a client facing role
- Dynamic individuals with a positive 'can do' attitude
- Highly personable with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Logical approach and good with numbers
