The Opportunity

As an Assistant Manager, you will support the delivery of accounting, tax, and advisory services to a varied client portfolio. The role involves reviewing accounts, managing client relationships, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring work is completed accurately and on time. You will work closely with Managers and Partners to provide excellent client service and support the ongoing success of the practice.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Prepare and review accounts for a range of owner-managed businesses (OMBs).
  • Prepare and review tax returns and ensure timely submissions.
  • Complete and review VAT returns and MTD ITSA submissions.
  • Help build and manage a portfolio of clients.
  • Support Managers and Associates with client work.
  • Coach and develop junior members of the team.
  • Maintain CPD and keep technical knowledge up to date.
  • Assist clients with ad hoc queries and provide ongoing support.

  • ACCA/ICAEW qualified or finalist
  • 5 years of in a practice experience
  • Experience working with Xero and Quickbooks
  • Experience working with Microsoft office
  • Experience working with Iris is desired
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • A commitment to delivering excellent client service
