We have an exciting opportunity for a CAS Apprentice at our Ferryhill office.
As a CAS Apprentice, you will support our Client Accounting Services team with bookkeeping, reconciliations, VAT returns, payroll and accounts preparation while studying towards your AAT qualification.
This is a great opportunity to gain practical accounting experience, develop your technical skills and build a successful career within a growing accountancy firm.
The successful candidate will be based primarily at our Ferryhill office Monday to Thursday, with Fridays spent working from our Stanley office.
Key responsibilities of a
CAS Apprentice will include
- Deliver a warm, friendly and professional service to clients in line with the company’s values.
- Support bookkeeping activities using cloud-based accounting software.
- Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with bank reconciliations, control accounts and VAT returns.
- Support payroll processing and pension administration.
- Help prepare management accounts and year-end accounts.
- Maintain accurate client records and workflow systems.
- Gather and manage client information and documentation in a timely manner.
- Support digital systems, software adoption and process improvements.
- Develop accounting knowledge through apprenticeship studies, CPD and on-the-job learning.

- Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to their own transport.
