About The Accounting Apprentice Role

TC MMG are looking for apprentices who have a passion for becoming a Chartered Accountant to work in either our Dundee or Perth office. The apprenticeship programme is an accredited work‑based learning programme combining an honours degree from RGU with the globally recognised ICAS Chartered Accountant qualification over a five‑year period. This is mainly completed through supported online learning and some in‑person university days. Academic study is combined with the practical experience you obtain from working in the office whilst you are being supported by your mentor. Throughout your five‑year course, you will move between each of our departments, such as Payroll, Virtual Finance, Accounts, Tax and Audit and gain experience to support your learning whilst working.
Timeframes for the role
We will be accepting applications until 31 March 2026, so you won’t hear back until the start of April 2026 whether you have been selected for interview or not. Interviews will be held in April / May 2026. The role will start late August 2026 and then the university course will commence the beginning of September 2026.

We welcome applications from those with equivalent qualifications or work experience which equip them with an equivalent starting point for the course. For those applicants who do not meet our Standard Course Entry Requirements, applications may be considered from those who possess one year’s relevant work experience and where the applicant has demonstrated the development of key skills evidenced through a detailed CV. Applications from students with non‑standard qualifications (including Foundation Apprenticeships, Modern Apprenticeships, SVQs/NVQs and access programmes) or work experience will be considered on an individual basis.
