- About the Audit & Accounts Trainee Role
TC Group is the fastest-growing top 20 accountancy firm in the UK.
The Audit & Accounts Trainee role will start in September in our Croydon office.
The trainee will join a dynamic team, work with a range of businesses, and progressively take on more responsibility while completing an internationally recognised qualification (AAT Level 3 & 4 followed by ACCA or ACA).
The role involves a mix of accounts, audit, and tax work, including corporation tax, VAT and possibly personal tax and payroll.
About You
We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic, hardworking and have a genuine interest in accounting.
The role is well‑suited to sixth‑form/college leavers and graduates who want to start an apprenticeship.
Successful candidates will be personable, detail‑oriented, and willing to learn and collaborate within a supportive team environment.
Skills and Experience
- 4 GCSEs at grades 9–4 (A*–C), including English and Maths, or a Level 2 qualification (Merit or Distinction) in a related subject
- Two A‑Levels and three GCSEs (or equivalent) for graduates
- Relevant degree at 2:2 or above
- Strong attention to detail
- Good numerical and analytical ability
- Communication and teamwork skills
- Time management and organisational skills
- Basic Excel skills
- Open to feedback and continuously developing technical knowledge
- Handles deadlines, pressure, and repetitive tasks professionally
- Takes initiative to ask questions and solve problems rather than waiting for instruction
