Location: Colchester or Clacton-on-Sea office.
Employment Flexibility: We are open to full‑time candidates (36 hours per week) or part‑time candidates (minimum of 21 hours per week over 3 days).
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience within an accountancy practice environment and will be CIPP qualified or qualified by experience. You will be confident managing your own portfolio of payroll clients, delivering an accurate, compliant, and efficient service at all times. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential, along with the ability to build and maintain positive client relationships through a proactive and professional approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing payroll on behalf of clients for varying client types.
- Running a payroll portfolio liaising with clients and assisting with queries.
- Manage internal systems.
- Collaborate with clients to ensure seamless flow and maintenance of employee data, fostering strong relationships and delivering exceptional service.
- Maintain meticulous records and a robust document control system, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Stay up to date with company policies and tax legislation impacting payroll, ensuring adherence and compliance at all times.
Qualifications:
- CIPP qualified or qualified by experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a practice environment.
- Knowledge of payroll legislation to enable client queries to be dealt with.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office/Excel is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Awareness of confidentiality and need for discretion.
- Ability to work well in a pressured and fast-paced environment.
