Are you an ambitious undergraduate student looking for a placement year opportunity? We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us on a Tax Placement in our Lewes office for 12 months commencing July/August 2026. This is a great opportunity to experience the role of a Tax Accountant first hand from our award nominated team of experts. You will have the opportunity to gain insights into personal and corporate tax compliance and advisory work within a structured and supportive learning environment.
What you can expect on a tax placement:
- To assist in the preparation of personal, partnership, trust and company tax returns and computations for a variety of clients
- Assist on capital gains tax returns
- Reviewing accounts to ensure that clients are compliant with current tax legislation
- Assist the tax team with various submissions and payment deadlines throughout the year and senior members of the team with tax advisory work
- Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients
- Assist with administrative tasks and marketing initiatives
About You
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- A-Levels/BTEC/T-Level qualifications
- Studying a relevant course at University, Accountancy & Finance related is preferred but other courses will be considered
- Proficient use of Microsoft applications
- Hardworking & diligent
- Able to work independently on your own initiative as well as part of a team
- Ability to build effective working relationships
- Professional and a positive work ethic
- Good planning and organisational skills
- Clear written & oral communication
- Good attention to detail
- Genuine interest in a future career in Tax
