The predicted salary is between 18000 - 25000 € per year.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Holiday: 23 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per each year of service (up to a maximum of 5 days)

About the Accounts Apprentice role:

Due to continued growth, our Boston office has an opportunity for a full-time Accounts Apprentice to join the team in Summer 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to start a career in accountancy. As part of an apprenticeship scheme, you will work towards an internationally recognised accountancy qualification (AAT) while gaining valuable on-the-job experience with a highly respected firm. You will join a dynamic accounting team, quickly gain responsibility, and receive the support you need to qualify and build a successful career within accountancy.

Key responsibilities of an Accounts Apprentice:

  • Contribute to the wider accounts team whilst studying towards the AAT qualification
  • Responsible for accounts preparation
  • Support the completion of VAT returns and related compliance work
  • Carry out bookkeeping activities, including maintaining accurate financial records
  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist with resolving discrepancies
  • Process purchase invoices using accounting software, primarily Xero
  • Reconcile purchase and sales ledgers, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure client files are well organised with all relevant documentation maintained
  • Engage with colleagues and clients to obtain information required for accounts preparation
  • Progressively take on responsibility for direct client communication, building strong relationships

About you:

  • Strong GCSE results in both Maths and English, grade 4 or above
  • A levels (C and above) or equivalent
  • A keen interest in accountancy and looking to study for an accountancy qualification
  • Great communication and customer service skills
  • Basic Excel skills are advantageous
  • Professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outgoing, enthusiastic and ambitious to develop
  • Able to work well within a team and manage own workload
  • Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • You need to have a current right to work in the UK
