Are you an ambitious qualified accountant with audit experience, looking for a new challenge? If you are, then we have a great role for you at our Blackfriars office as an Audit and Accounts Manager. You can join a talented group of individuals, offering a great external audit service to a range of clients in the SME sector, the role comes with fantastic career development opportunities.
You will be responsible for the delivery of audit and assurance services to a range of clients and will therefore need to be highly technically proficient, a trusted expert in this field and be competent to go out and win work and generate new business leads. You will work for one or more of the senior managers and partners, assisting others with certain clients and as required. You will work on a number of clients in different sectors, maintaining and developing the strong relationships which are key to the firm’s growth.
About you
- You qualified within a firm of accountants and have several years post qualification experience, including experience as a Manager in practice.
- You are up to date with current auditing and accounting issues and conversant with relevant auditing and accounting standards.
- Your responsibilities will include delivering high quality audits to our clients in the SME sector with support from the wider audit team to deliver the work.
- You are confident with good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- You have developed excellent client liaison skills.
- You have experience of working on a wide range of clients and you have excellent technical knowledge, e.g. UK GAAP, FRS102, IFRS and ISA’s.
- You have good all round tax knowledge, especially corporation tax, and ideally some trusts and charity knowledge.
- You have strong technical skills as you will be completing file reviews on a range of audit clients, utilising your existing technical knowledge and experience whilst developing your skills still further and ensuring quality standards are met in the department.
- You are tech‑savvy, proficient in all Microsoft packages, knowledge of CCH would be advantageous alongside Audit Automation, Cortax, Inflo, SAP, Xero, Sage & Quickbooks.
- You are willing and able to work under pressure and cope flexibly with demanding deadlines.
