About the Accounts Manager role

This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity for an experienced Accountant at Assistant Manager or Manager level to join our Lewes Business Hub. You'll take ownership of a varied client portfolio, lead the delivery of accounts from planning to completion, and support the development of a growing team. This role is ideal for an Assistant Manager ready to step up, or an experienced Manager seeking a high-quality maternity cover role within a supportive, progressive firm.
Key responsibilities
- Client experience of Sage50 / Netsuite also desirable
- Strong Excel skills (including vlookup, sumif and Pivot Tables)
- Professional, credible and confident manner
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confident engaging with clients and building trusted relationships
- Proven ability to motivate, support and influence others
- Willingness to have constructive but challenging conversations where performance issues arise
- Positive and flexible approach to change
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
