This individual has the proven skills, competencies and capacity to collaborate with CP technicians, specialists, contractors, and project execution teams to ensure the pipeline system is adequately protected against corrosion to allow continued safe operations of the asset and compliance with regulations.

What You’ll Do

  • Own, maintain and implement the corrosion prevention program for the operating footprint.

  • Analyze incoming CP data and identify deficiencies requiring remediation, including AC mitigation, Remote Monitoring Unit troubleshooting, stray current, and above/below criteria findings.
  • Scope and design CP remedial projects for assets, as needed.
  • Support project execution teams to ensure successful implementation of designs, for end-of-life replacements, new design requirements, as well as both greenfield and brownfield system upgrades.
  • Build and implement program oversight structure for third party providing CP services.
  • Support regulatory engagement and reporting activities for US regulators.
  • Analyze in-line inspection, direct assessment and other data to generate, plan, schedule and implement effective programs to manage external corrosion and other pipeline integrity threats.
  • Analyze environmental, operational and historical data to infer condition of pipeline regarding the external corrosion threat and any corresponding corrosion prevention modifications required according to integrity management plans.
  • Report, document, and demonstrate compliance with company corrosion processes and procedures.
  • Analyze assessment data to determine potential future actions to improve safety and reliability of pipeline facilities.
  • Work with Project Managers and regional personnel to ensure successful implementation of CP programs.
  • Assist with development of internal standards, plans, procedures, and specifications to ensure compliance with regulations, codes, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Provide timely technical support to various internal and external stakeholders.
