You’ll be working in an established finance team for one of the largest global PR agencies in the world. The Burson finance practice is an exciting and dynamic team of financial professionals offering the support to grow and develop your career. You’ll be supporting the Commercial Accountants in providing sector financial support to ensure accurate, quality reporting & financial services for sector requirements, & company level reporting.
YOUR ROLE AS A BURSON PERSON
- Support the comprehensive monthly process for fee recognition, ensuring all billable time is captured and correctly recognized within budget restraints and client requirements and within ICFR fee recognition guidelines.
- Assist in compiling management, financial & ad hoc reports as required by key stakeholders ensuring accurate information in a timely manner.
- Support, compile and maintain accurate finance reports including forecasts, P&Ls by sector including shadow reporting for central functions.
- Monthly Financial Sector Reviews: Compilation of monthly finance packs including client profitability, sector profitability, staff utilization and revenue realization reporting for monthly review in sector financial meetings.
- Contribute to ongoing enhancement of financial reporting processes.
- Audit & ICFR Compliance: Assist where necessary with the monthly review of ICFR documentation around revenue recognition and ensuring all local controls are adhered to including revenue percentage of completion schedule, project review & sign off controls.
- Work in Progress, Debtors, Creditors: Collaborate with the Billing team/Billing manager to minimize work in progress and aged debtors in order to maximize working capital. Liaise between sectors & AP team to ensure smooth 3rd party cost management.
YOU’LL BRING ALONG WITH YOU
- Assisting with job number & client set-ups within Maconomy.
- Support Commercial Accountants in requirement gathering for any major internal system change or upgrade for design, development and implementation to take place.
- Liaison with HR/Payroll to ensure accurate maintenance of employee records within Maconomy & the sector P&Ls including, increases, promotions, starters & leavers.
- Liaison with sector account managers where necessary in order to resolve issues or to support.
