Diligent Institute creates educational and media content for directors, the c-suite and senior governance, risk and compliance professionals across a range of mediums. With online certification programs, e-learning courses and videos, our education content is a key way in which we connect with our customers. We have an exciting opportunity for an Instructional Designer to join the Diligent Institute team. You will be passionate about creating engaging and effective e-learning courses and programs for a high velocity dynamic software company. You are technically adept, have business acumen, and can simplify the complex.

The role of Instructional Designer will be responsible for creating engaging self-paced e-learning courses and other learning content that enables our customers to effectively navigate complex governance, risk and compliance workflows. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring an outstanding customer experience from onboarding to graduation and renewal for participants of Diligent Certifications, being the team’s subject matter expert of our learning management system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • E-learning courses
  • Work alongside copywriters to turn written materials into engaging e-learning courses
  • Create immersive educational experiences using a variety of mediums to maximize engagement (e.g. diagrams, videos, activities, assessments, scenarios, interactive exercises)
  • Utilize style guides, user experience best practices, and user feedback to create beautiful courses that are easy to navigate
  • Manage ongoing maintenance or application for new accreditation for new credentials for the programs including CLE, CPE and CPA
  • Maintain courses and organize course documents and assets
  • Learning management system
    • Own usage of the learning management system on behalf of Diligent Institute
    • Run regular reporting across courses and users and partnership with internal teams to drive customer adoption
  • Participant administration
    • Provide administrative support and customer support to customers of bespoke programs, including responding to customer enquiries, managing users and updating content
    • Equip the customer support team with FAQs and guides to answer customer enquiries
    • Manage and maintain documentation for onboarding across our customer groups
    Required Experience/Skills:
    • 2-5 years of experience in curriculum and instructional design for adult learners in an e-learning environment
    • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
    • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
    • Experience with a learning management system, ideally Thought Industries
    • Experience with authoring technologies, ideally Articulate Rise 360
    • Familiarity or proficiency with coding is a bonus (SQL, Python, HTML, CSS)
