Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Joiner–Builder to join our building solutions team. The ideal candidate must be experienced in a broad range of joinery and general building tasks, capable of working independently and as part of a team, and confident attending both planned and reactive works.
The work undertaken will be consistent in the midlands but not exclusive to, as working away from time to time, along with working out of hours where it may not be possible to carry out the works in normal hours to accommodate our client\’s needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Some of the key responsibilities and skills that we are looking for the applicant to fulfil and possess are:
· Ability to carry out high-quality first and second fix joinery works, including doors, frames, flooring, partitions, and bespoke fittings
· Competent in completing high quality fire door/fire door set installations, at a good pace, while remaining compliant with regulations.
· Strong ability in Kitchen installations.
· Familiar with installation of external doors and windows.
· Well-rounded team worker who is able to complete required as opposed to always preferred jobs
· Perform general building tasks such as minor structural work, repairs, and refurbishments
· Support reactive and planned work across commercial and residential properties
· Diagnose and resolve building faults efficiently
· Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to a professional standard
· Communicate with clients and colleagues to ensure smooth project delivery
· Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean working environment
Requirements:
· Qualified Joiner/Carpenter (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent
· Proven experience in joinery and general building work
· Strong understanding of building regulations and safe working practices
· Ability to interpret technical drawings
· Full UK driving licence
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
· Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
· Flexibility to work unsociable hours from time to time and work away from home
Desirable:
· Will be able to hold a full DBS check.
· Additional trade skills (plastering, basic plumbing, advantage.
· CSCS card
