The Role

This role plays an important part in supporting the day‑to‑day operations of the finance department, ensuring supplier invoices, reconciliations, and financial records are processed accurately and efficiently. As a Finance Assistant, you will support the accounts payable function while working closely with internal departments and suppliers to resolve queries and maintain strong financial controls. The role also includes light reception responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a varied role and working within a collaborative office environment.

Key Responsibilities – Finance Responsibilities

  • Process high volumes of accounts payable invoices using the company’s automated invoice system
  • Ensure invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Reconcile supplier statements monthly and investigate discrepancies where required
  • Work closely with internal departments to resolve invoice and payment queries
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records and documentation
  • Assist the wider finance team with administrative and ad‑hoc finance tasks
  • Support compliance with internal financial controls and company procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling financial information

Reception Responsibilities

  • Welcome visitors to the TBS offices in a professional and friendly manner
  • Handle incoming telephone calls and direct them appropriately
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Support general front‑of‑house and office administration activities where required

  • Accuracy and timeliness of invoice processing
  • Supplier statement reconciliation completion rates
  • Response and resolution time for invoice queries
  • Maintenance of accurate financial records and documentation
