We are recruiting a Chef Manager for our restaurant The Pantry. The Chef Manager will be responsible for the delivery of excellent food and presentation standards in this bistro style restaurant within a world leading visitor attraction. This is a unique opportunity as The Pantry does not open any late evenings or nights, but you may be required to support our events chef team from time to time in the evenings. This job supports work-life balance, with opportunities for weekends off on a rota basis, and the business closes for 3 days every Christmas!

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement, monitor and maintain standards set by the Retail Outlets Manager and Executive Head Chef for all aspects of food production and delivery.
- Manage all aspects of this busy kitchen to provide an efficient service for customers.
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to tasks and the day-to-day running of the operation and The Pantry kitchen team.
- Ensure counter set up, food presentation and menu selection meet the specification for The Pantry as detailed.
- Support the front of house team to ensure excellent standards in all aspects of food delivery are achieved.
- Support the Retail Outlets Manager to ensure staff are fully conversant in all aspects of food service including the menu, content of dishes, allergens and portion control.
- Efficiently manage all stock including storage, stock movement, waste management, stock taking etc. to be in line with policies, systems, procedures, and schedules.
- Support the Hospitality department as may be periodically required.
- Complete personal training as required, proactively identify training requirements of team and ensure these are completed.
- Comply and keep up to date with all relevant company and legislative policies and procedures including food safety, HACCP, Allergens, Health and Safety etc.
- Maintain an effective cleaning regime to ensure equipment and kitchen and service areas are kept in best condition possible.
- Report any damaged or faulty equipment to Retail Outlets Manager in order to facilitate efficient operations.
- Undertake your duties in such a way as to enhance and protect the reputation and public profile of Titanic Belfast.
- Proactive and positive approach to embracing and being compliant with organisational Health and Safety Culture.
- Ensure your interactions with and the management of your team are of the very highest professional standards and in line with the Team Charter, culture and standards of the organisation.
- Ensure adherence to and compliance with all GDPR / Data Protection related policies and procedures.
- Undertake such other relevant duties as may from time to time be required.
