As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Freelance Garment Technologist to support our Product team in bringing our collections to life.

The Role

Working closely with our Head of Product, Buyers and Designers, you'll play a key role in ensuring every garment meets our fit, quality and compliance standards before production.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working across multiple categories and collaborating with suppliers around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain graded size specifications and technical size charts.
  • Produce clear, accurate garment workbooks and technical documentation for suppliers.
  • Review supplier comments, measurements and fit reports.
  • Lead or support fit sessions, providing clear feedback and amendments.
  • Issue fit comments and manage fit approval through to Gold Seal.
  • Ensure consistency of fit across collections and product categories.
  • Advise on garment construction, finishes and manufacturing techniques.
  • Support product quality improvements and help reduce customer returns.
  • Review care labels, product measurements and technical specifications.
  • Ensure products meet relevant UK, EU and US compliance requirements where applicable.
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers to resolve technical issues throughout development.

We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Garment Technologist within fashion products.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, grading and fit.
  • Experience creating technical packs, workbooks and specification sheets.
  • Excellent knowledge of apparel compliance, labelling and product standards.
  • Confident leading fit sessions and communicating technical feedback.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Experience working directly with overseas suppliers.
  • Ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and comfortable working with PLM systems.
