Main Purpose of Job: The primary purpose of this role is to carry out high-quality joinery and fitting work as part of bespoke vehicle conversions. The joiner-fitter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and finishing interior components to precise specifications, ensuring each vehicle meets safety standards, functional requirements, and a premium level of craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:
- Joinery & Fitting Fabrication: Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials (plywood, hardwood, composite panels, and lightweight vehicle-grade materials) to construct bespoke units such as cabinets, storage systems, seating structures, and bed frames.
- Installation: Fit furniture, fixtures, shelving, and panelling. Install hardware components including hinges, latches, rails, and trims.
- Vehicle Prep: Carry out ply lining, window cutting/fitting, and the installation of insulation, vapour barriers, flooring, and wall/ceiling linings. Perform trial-fittings to ensure correct alignment and function before final installation.
- Operational & Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets safety standards and customer expectations. Report material shortages or design issues immediately. Maintain a clean, organised workspace and practice good housekeeping. Strictly adhere to all Health and Safety legislation and company policies to ensure the safety of self, colleagues, and visitors.
Proven experience in joinery, carpentry, or interior fitting (vehicle-based experience is an advantage but not essential). Confident and safe use of a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery. Understanding of materials used in vehicle interiors, such as plywood, lightweight composites, and insulation. A full driving licence is mandatory for this role. A logical approach with a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship and precision. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a busy environment, while also working well as part of a multi-trade team. Reliable: Good time management skills with the ability to meet production schedules and deadlines. Manual handling, working in confined spaces (inside vehicles), and performing hands-on tasks.
