A leading independent school in Hampshire is seeking a SEND Learning Support Assistant from September 2026. This is a full time and permanent role. This independent special school is dedicated to supporting children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You ll be there to help them learn, develop their abilities and raise their self-esteem. You will need to be resilient and dedicated. Standard working hours - Monday to Thursday 8.30-4pm and Friday 8.30 - 1pm * Under the teacher s clear guidance, to support the education, personal and social development of pupils in the class including those with special needs and to establish a positive relationship with pupils. * To undertake activities to assist in monitoring the personal, social and emotional needs of pupils. * To develop positive relationships with pupils to assist pupil progress and attainment. * To assist in the devising of pupils individual targets and their monitoring and review. * Support pupils as part of a planned inclusion programme. * To support the child at playtime as necessary.
