A leading and thriving independent school in the Epsom area of Surrey is seeking an Economics Teacher from September 2026. This is a full time and permanent role.

This School empowers their students to challenge themselves, to push beyond the boundaries of their own expectations and to achieve more than they ever believed possible. As a result, pupils are described as self-confident and generous in spirit. Pupils are encouraged to take ownership of their learning and are provided with an extensive extracurricular programme in order for them to find and develop unique talents and interests. The School is a family community and has excellent resources and grounds at their wonderful, enriching campus.

The Economics Department is thriving, with six members of staff teaching the subject at A Level and large numbers of pupils applying for Economics and related areas at university. A notably successful and popular option in the Sixth Form, there are 91 pupils in the current Upper Sixth with an even larger cohort expected to start the subject in September 2026.

The Head is looking for someone who has experience of teaching A level Economics, is forward-thinking and committed to excellent teaching and learning. The successful candidate will deliver inspiring lessons and allow for a range of co-curricular activities and societies that enrich pupils’ experiences in the subject.
