The role:
We are currently seeking a passionate, sociable, fun, and organised individual who is looking to become a key member of a busy, close-knit team and wishes to grow and progress within the company. The ideal candidate would be an established Mid / snr Designer who is looking for a new challenge, or an experienced Creative Designer looking to take the next step in their career.
They will work on a variety of interesting and varied global projects across our Group, from sporting events, festivals, and corporate events to brand activations and motorsport.
The role requires the successful candidate to work in a fast-paced environment, involved in projects from concept and pitches through to production and launch. They will be an essential part of the team, working with the design studio, Account Managers, Production team, and client-facing Project Managers to produce high-quality work for the experiential and events market. They will be working closely with the Strategic Creative Director and Senior Designers to collaboratively produce incredible design work, but should also have the ability and confidence to work independently on projects and really own the brief.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Full branding and logo design for events. Produce clear and thorough brand guidelines that can be used by the client and Production to produce fully branded/themed events
- Produce graphics treatments for events that adhere to existing client brand guidelines
- Work collaboratively with 3D Designers and Visualizers to produce incredible event spaces
- Lead on creative output for some projects, whilst sense checking with the Strategic Creative Director, Senior Designers, and Creative Operations Manager
- Produce high-quality decks for projects and pitches. Actively accumulate copy and design elements from Account Directors, Creatives, Project Managers, and Production
- Produce final design solutions for events such as event branding, graphic walls, printed media, and digital media, adhering to brand guidelines but going above and beyond to exceed client expectations
- Fully collaborate with and assist other members of the team. Support junior members of the team so they are able to reach their full potential
- Thoroughly check and package printed/digital elements before passing them onto suppliers and freelancers (e.g. colour correction and/or art-working branded elements ready for print)
- Confidently pitch creative ideas to new and existing clients
- Brief Junior Designers and freelancers and monitoring project progression to ensure deadlines are met.
Essential skills/qualifications:
- A degree in Graphic Design (2:2 or above essential) or an equivalent degree/experience in Design
- An exemplary eye for detail
- Highly skilled in typography and typesetting
- Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills
- A secondary skill (such as image editing, sketching, photography, illustration or artworking)
- A finger on the pulse of emerging technologies and trends
- An interest in sporting/motorsports would be extremely beneficial
- A good understanding of either the print process, web design, or digital design
- Confident in delegating tasks to Junior Designers and briefing freelancers
- Some video editing skills would be helpful for pitch work
Ideally an excellent understanding of the following packages:
- Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Aftereffects)
- Microsoft Office, with a good understanding of PowerPoint
Additional understanding of the following packages is beneficial, but not a necessity:
- Email Design/Scheduling software, such as Mailchimp, Hootsuite, etc.
- Canva
- Figma
Experience:
- Previous experience in a design job is essential
- Working in a similar role within an experiential, events, or branding agency is preferred, but not a necessity
- UK Based and willing to come into the Central London Offices 3 days a week.
