THE ROLE
You will be managing the Health & Safety Department to make sure people stay safe in the workplace and are not harmed while carrying out their roles. Ensuring that sound health and safety practices are identified, documented, and fully aligned to the key business drivers.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
- Understanding customer and business needs and requirements to develop effective HS and quality control processes.
- Conducting health and safety reviews with clients to assist planning and enable a collaborative approach to changes within industry to keep compliant and safe.
- Devising and reviewing specifications for products or processes.
- Carrying out site inspections for internal HS audit purposes, training assessments.
- Carrying out incident report investigations.
- Continually assessing the relevance and effectiveness of RAMs and update as to legislation.
- Monitoring company processes as to current legislation.
- Analysing data and statistics from clients.
- Managing effectiveness of HSW SharePoint system and making necessary changes.
- Carry out internal audit programme.
- Report to senior team on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Be conversant with the management system and compliance regarding HERS, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and NERS together with all relevant external auditing bodies.

- A problem solver with strong analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Details orientated.
- An excellent communicator and can work with people at all levels of the company.
- A strong leader.
- Comfortable and confident dealing with clients, auditors and interested parties.
- Experienced in systems and process implementation.
- NEBOSH qualified.
- Experienced in managing HSW Systems, teams, and auditors.
