THE ROLE
You will be responsible for ensuring the technical and electrical compliance of our schemes. Using your knowledge and experience to set up solid processes and spot potential safety issues. Supporting colleagues and filling gaps within specialist projects and acting as an authorised person and authorising officer. You will be primarily based in the Durham depot with national site-based requirements dependent on our scheme.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
- Assisting operational team with specialist electrical projects using electrical knowledge and experience to ensure smooth and safe running of the projects.
- Acting as Scheme Electrical Authorised Person; this will require issuing electrical permits to work & Isolation Permits where needed.
- Supporting colleagues with electrical technical knowledge (raising TQs and procurement of correct electrical materials).
- Electrical design creating CAD drawings, plotting assets on CAD for client inventory, red line mark-ups including reviewing and preparing electrical designs for approval.
- Auditing electrical works ensuring safe and to a quality standard.
- Creating action plans for electrical works not installed to specification.
- Approving Electrical Certification to compliance.
- Compiling OMS and as-built information.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- Inspection and testing qualified.
- City & Guild or NVQ qualified including AM2.
- Understanding of BSEN 17767, BD2/1218th Edition BS7671 qualified.
- Street Lighting Experience.
- Blue Beam and CAD desired but not essential.
