We’re now looking for an experienced IT Systems & Support Engineer to join the team at our Scunthorpe manufacturing site.
Overview
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in computer networking and desktop support, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service to the Group.
Duties
- Manage and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications across the organisation.
- Provide desktop support to end-users, troubleshooting issues for customers across our 5 manufacturing sites.
- Support and maintain IT equipment at site and Group level.
- Work as part of the broader IT team to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver solutions to IT and non-IT related challenges facing the business.
- Train new starters on our IT systems and equipment.
- Provide support to remote users within the Group.
- Research and develop new opportunities for technology to be deployed across the business.
Requirements
- Proficient knowledge of computer networking principles and practices.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems, Azure, and Office 365 (support, administer, and migrate).
- Knowledge of basic networking functionality (DHCP & DNS Support).
- Experience with time and attendance software (support and maintenance).
- Experience with MS Teams (support and maintenance).
- Experience with SQL Server (support and maintenance).
- Experience with Exchange (2019 and above).
- Experience with VMware or HyperV.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail.
