We’re now looking for an experienced Group Head of Health & Safety to continue to drive and develop the Health & Safety culture across our 5 manufacturing sites in the UK and NI.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Group Head of Manufacturing, the Group Head of Health & Safety, plays a pivotal role in driving culture and core performance metrics to deliver a safe workplace. You’ll take full responsibility of all elements of Health & Safety throughout the Group. Upholding legal compliance, you’ll focus on minimising risks and fostering a secure and healthy working environment. Liaising closely with the Site H&S Managers and Senior Leadership team, you’ll provide governance through audit process, robust data collection and insight to deliver superior results.
- Ensure Health & Safety sits as a core value on how we fundamentally operate at Tayto for everyone, everyday
- Develop, maintain, audit and ensure current and future legal compliance of the Tayto Group H&S management system
- Act as a source of best practice, information and advice for the Group Board and Factory General Managers
- Generate and lead five manufacturing sites through robust risk management frameworks
- Advise on H&S in group projects, training, auditing and risk assessments
- Act as the Group first point of contact for all Health & Safety matters with external agencies and bodies
- Direct line management of Health & Safety leads across sites & work closely with Factory GMs to drive safety performance culture
- Manage site security for the Tayto group within budgeted level

What will we need from you?
- Experience working within a food/FMCG/Manufacturing environment in a leadership role, preferably across multiple sites
- Demonstrable experience of developing safe systems of work, carrying out H&S Audits, conducting risk assessments and delivering training
- Degree in Health & Safety or demonstrable equivalent experience
- Membership of IOSH or equivalent body
- Driving license
- This is a Multi-Site role, with the primary location being Corby, Northants with regular travel to Scunthorpe, Westhoughton, Tamworth and Tandragee in Northern Ireland.
