The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
As a Roadworker 5, you will undertake the maintenance and construction of roads, drains and street lighting as required by either:
- working within a construction team of 3 or more members, led by a Chargehand
- working as part of a two person team (and the Roadworker 5 is the responsible individual)
- working as an experienced individual on their own in a particular field of work.
You will have a flexible attitude to work, be health and safety aware and be able to effectively communicate with work colleagues, supervisory staff and client representatives.
With experience of working within the construction industry, you will have the ability to work to precise levels and requirements of construction work, such as:
- to lay kerbs and and drains to levels over a continuous length e.g. min of 50m
- laying, raking & rolling surfacing materials e.g. HRA & DBM surfacing.
You will have the ability and willingness to participate in a standby rota and to work outdoors in all kinds of weather.
A Category C Driving Licence* or equivalent entitlement to drive in Great Britain is essential and Category C+E is desirable.
A drivers CPC for HGV Licence and CSCS Health and Safety card are preferred but not essential.
You will also be paid:
Standby Payment - £149.72 per week when on standby.
