The predicted salary is between 25000 - 35000 £ per year.

Working Monday to Thursday 6.00am -2.00pm AND Friday 6.00am -1.30pm or Monday to Thursday 11.30am -8.00pm AND Friday 11.30am -5.00pm on a rotational basis

As a Mechanic at Tayside Contracts, you will maintain a diverse fleet of vehicles and plant for both Tayside Contracts and our external customers.

You will have served a recognised and relevant apprenticeship and hold a Diploma in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles at SCQF level 7 or equivalent.

You will have the ability to carry out major repairs and overhauls, maintenance and minor repairs on site, welding work and operate power driven tools.

You will have the ability to communicate and effectively work as part of a team and have an awareness of health and safety.

You will have the ability and willingness to participate in a standby rota and to work outdoors in all kinds of weather.

A Category C Driving Licence* or equivalent entitlement to drive in Great Britain is essential and Category C+E is desirable.

*We will accept applications from individuals who do not have a Cat C, however, as it is an essential requirement for the role, if you are successful, we will arrange and pay for you to obtain Cat C entitlement. Repayment terms apply should you leave employment within 24 months of obtaining Cat C entitlement.

You will also be paid:

Tool allowance – £15.75 per week

Standby Payment – £149.72 per week when on standby
