The purpose of the role is to provide high quality legal services to Clinical Negligence clients, manage a varied caseload, and contribute to the team’s ongoing development, efficiency, and success.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct initial consultations and triage incoming enquiries.
- Advise and support clients throughout the progression of their Clinical Negligence matters.
- Manage a varied caseload from initial instruction through to settlement.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure a high standard of service.
- Draft and prepare Letters of Claim, analyses of Letters of Response, witness statements, instructions to counsel, and court documents.
- Undertake detailed review, chronology preparation, and analysis of medical records and expert evidence.
- Instruct and liaise with medical experts and counsel.
- Advise clients on funding options including CFAs, ATE policies and client care documentation.
- Negotiate effectively with defendants and insurers to achieve the best outcomes.
- Manage all aspects of the pre action protocol and litigated matters under the CPR.
