Our Night Porter at Moness Resort plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of guests throughout the overnight hours. A responsible role encompassing a range of duties from helping guests while maintaining the overall security of the premises. Your presence and attentiveness will contribute to a positive guest experience and the smooth operation of the resort during nighttime hours.

Working Pattern: This is an 11-hour overnight shift pattern, working four shifts on followed by four days off. The role requires flexibility and a commitment to maintaining a consistent, high standard of guest service, safety, and security throughout each overnight shift.

Responsibilities:

  • You play an important role in managing the overnight operation, providing a warm, friendly, professional and efficient service to all our guests.
  • You welcome guests arriving late at night, ensuring they receive the same high level of service and warm welcome as guests arriving during the daytime.
  • You assist with showing guests the facilities and services available, arranging wake-up calls and coordinating any transportation requirements to their cottage.
  • Conducting regular patrols of the public areas, exterior grounds and cottages, monitoring the resort to ensure the safety and security of our guests, colleagues and property.
  • You respond promptly to any security incidents or disturbances, taking appropriate action to resolve issues and maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
  • You ensure an effective handover is provided to the morning team, communicating clearly and effectively with colleagues across all departments.
  • You coordinate guest services and requests throughout the night, ensuring a seamless operation and positive guest experience.
  • Working closely with the housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure that all cottages and bedrooms across the resort are maintained to the highest possible standards.
  • Provide guidance, support and motivation to assist junior team members.
  • Encourage a positive and efficient work environment while ensuring teamwork and consistent high standards.

Role Competencies:

  • Previous experience within a fast-paced or resort environment, or in a hotel or restaurant, together with good people skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to juggle competing priorities with minimum supervision.
  • You are calm, confident and discreet, taking huge pride in your presentation.
  • Exemplary time management with a vision for quality and excellence.

About Moness: Moness Resort is in the small market town of Aberfeldy. Set in thirty-five acres of ground and situated amidst stunning Highland scenery, the resort offers a range of accommodations, including well-equipped family-friendly self-catering cottages and hotel rooms. Within the main house there are restaurants and bars and an outdoor terrace. Leisure facilities include a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub. A Spa offering treatments from manicures to full body massages using ISHGA products. A popular destination for weddings and gatherings, all held within our recently renovated marquee, adjacent to the main building.

This role does not qualify for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa requirements and eligibility criteria. Only applicants with the right to work in mainland UK can be considered. We cannot consider applicants who require sponsorship.
