An important and vital role within the Club, our Housekeeping Supervisor supports the Residential Services Director and Housekeeping Manager in ensuring the overall operation runs smoothly and while on shift the day-to-day running of the department. The Residential Services Department is spread across the whole estate working and collaborating with team members throughout the various areas of the club. We believe in having fun and creating memorable moments for our members and visiting guests at their ‘home from home’, making sure each visit is unique.
The team strive daily to achieve continuity of service, and you offer team members guidance and support to ensure they can fulfil their individual tasks with a clear focus on delivering exceptional service while maintaining the efficiency and quality that will ensure the luxurious standards associated with our club are achieved. Keeping our incredible facilities clean and tidy requires a one team approach. People are our priority, and this role requires someone who is organised, takes pride in a job well done and gains genuine enjoyment from making others happy.
Discover the Role:
- Assign areas to the team whether it be within the castle or in members’ homes or at various locations throughout the estate.
- Ensure that appropriate coverage is in place according to the demands and requirements of each area.
- Conduct daily shift briefings and lead on monthly meetings with a proactive approach, continually striving to develop and train; ensuring the team maintain their high standards of attention to detail.
- Review and check each suite, home, and area of the Castle to ensure it is refreshed, carefully checking the standards of cleanliness and presentation; before, during and at the hand-over stage of each shift.
- Guide and train our formidable team of Housekeeping Assistants through planned and regular development set out in the training calendar; ensure that everyone has a thorough understanding of their role and the tasks they need to perform and the responsibility they hold to ensure that a consistent service is delivered.
- Carefully manage and take a genuine interest in any special projects or maintenance issues underway throughout the estate.
- Coordinate and follow up on those; ensure the work is being completed within the scheduled time.
- Ensure all members and their guests are responded to promptly, any individual requests or queries they may have are effectively actioned and completed positively and professionally by the team.
- Support with deep cleaning of other areas within the operation as and when required, and as directed by management.
- Uphold our exceptional standards while demonstrating passion and flare in the pursuit of service excellence.
- Actively involved in the day-to-day operation through observance, collaborating proactively with team members across our wide range of facilities.
- Contribute at departmental and the wider business meetings where necessary.
- This role can involve long periods of standing, walking, and bending.
