The role of Housekeeping Assistant at Moness Resort is crucial in maintaining the upkeep of the resort and the ambitious standards of cleanliness we all enjoy. You ensure our high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and order is maintained in the cottages, hotel bedrooms, and front of house guest areas, as well as the back of house staff facilities. Our Housekeepers are visible moving throughout the resort seven days a week.

As part of a close-knit team, you guide the way in collaborating with fellow team members to deliver exceptional experiences for every guest. You strive to exceed guest expectations whether they are staying overnight in one of our hotel rooms or for a few days enjoying one of our self-catering lodges.

Role Responsibilities

  • You provide a warm, friendly, professional, and efficient service and have a natural ability to work well within a team and can stay composed under pressure ensuring our ambitious standards are maintained.
  • With fantastic attention to detail, the housekeeping team deliver results and ensure each area of the resort is kept immaculately clean and well-presented from our hotel rooms and self-catering cottages to the guest areas in our front of house, reception, all kept fresh, clean, and tidy.
  • Change linen and ensure all used linen is presented to the linen porter to transport to the laundry; replenish linen and guest supplies.
  • Consult with other departments to ensure a seamless stay for our guests.
  • When required assist with duties in our onsite laundry and support with cleaning duties in each area of the resort.
  • Undertake deep cleans as directed by the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Maintain a friendly approach with guests whilst respecting their privacy during their stay.
  • Respond to any guest requests and feedback efficiently.
  • Ensure the security of guest accommodation and their belongings during the execution of your duties.
  • Approach all that we do with simplicity providing guests with any requested items quickly and efficiently.
  • Provide guidance, support and motivation to assist junior team members.
  • Encourage a positive and efficient work environment while ensuring teamwork and consistent high standards.
  • Ensure guests are satisfied throughout their stay, attending to any additional needs.

Role Competencies

  • Previous experience within a fast paced or resort environment, or in a hotel or restaurant, together with good people skills.
  • Where teamwork and collaboration have been the key would be ideal.
  • Working independently and as part of a team comes naturally to you.
  • Ability to work under pressure to juggle competing priorities with minimum supervision.
  • You are calm, confident, and discreet, taking huge pride in your presentation.
  • Exemplary time management with a vision for quality and excellence.
