As Food and Beverage Assistant you will work across our restaurants and bars, as well as our banquets and event catering served in our recently refurbished marquee. You play a key role in delivering the excellent levels of service associated throughout the range of dining experiences at Moness Resort.
As part of a close-knit team, you will collaborate with team members to ensure that each guest dining experience is exceptional, whether they are visiting for a meal or staying overnight in one of our beautiful cottages and enjoying a hearty Scottish breakfast. Our team will be on hand to look after them with all their food and beverage needs.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide a warm, friendly, professional, and efficient service.
- Work well within a team and stay composed under pressure.
- Collaborate with other team members to prepare for guest arrivals, cleaning and preparing the dining areas.
- Ensure tables are set and ready for dining, and the bar area is clear with clean glasses and stocked fridges.
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the menu and any daily specials.
- Serve food and drinks to guests, upselling additional items where appropriate.
- Be knowledgeable about wine pairings, cocktail options, special promotions, and local produce.
- Ensure that guests are satisfied throughout their dining experience and deal with any additional needs.
- Prepare and present bills to guests and process payments accurately.
- Manage transactions using the restaurant’s payment systems and ensure that all payment handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain a friendly approach with guests while respecting their privacy during their stay.
- Respond to any guest requests and feedback efficiently.
- Ensure the security of guest accommodation and their belongings during your duties.
- Provide guidance, support, and motivation to junior team members.
- Encourage a positive and efficient work environment while ensuring teamwork and consistent high standards.

- Previous experience within a fast-paced or resort environment, or in a hotel or restaurant, together with good people skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure to juggle competing priorities with minimum supervision.

About Moness:
Moness Resort is in the small market town of Aberfeldy, set in thirty-five acres of ground amidst stunning Highland scenery. The resort offers a range of accommodations, including well-equipped family-friendly self-catering cottages and hotel rooms. Within the main house, there are restaurants and bars, and an outdoor terrace. Leisure facilities include a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and hot tub. A spa offers treatments from manicures to full body massages using ISHGA products. The resort is a popular destination for weddings and gatherings, all held within our recently renovated marquee, adjacent to the main building.
This role does not qualify for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa requirements and eligibility criteria. Only applicants with the right to work in mainland UK can be considered.
