Senior Scientist (In-vitro) (Industry / CRO Experience is a Must) Location – Nottingham Sector – Drug Discovery Salary – £30,000 – £35,000 (depending on interview performance & experience) Full Time, Permanent Role Do you have hands-on experience designing and running in vitro biochemical and cell-based assays within industry or a CRO? Do you have prior experience meeting experimental deadlines set by clients? We have an exciting opportunity to join a drug discovery company in Nottingham, focused on receptor pharmacology. You will be supporting diverse client projects in cutting-edge drug discovery programs. Applicants must have current UK work eligibility. The Role As a member of the receptor pharmacology team, you will be responsible for: * Designing and performing in vitro biochemical and cell-based assays, * Providing high-quality data to support drug discovery projects, * Managing experiments and training junior team members, * Working closely with clients and the team to solve complex research problems, * Contributing to research publications and presenting findings at scientific meetings. Current / Recent Experience Required: The ideal candidate will have the following: * At least 2 years of industry / CRO experience performing in vitro biochemical or cell-based assays (essential). * Assay development experience (essential). * Hands-on experience with in vitro molecular biology techniques – such as cell culture, PCR, western blotting, and flow cytometry (essential). * Expertise in GPCR pharmacology (desirable). * PhD or BSc / MSc in receptor pharmacology (desirable). * Expertise in pharmacology laboratory techniques, including binding assays, SPR assays, radioligand binding, reporter gene assays (desirable). Profile Required: * Existing UK work eligibility (essential). * Happy to commute / relocate to Nottingham (essential).
